Bred by Chris & Janet Morris, Summitry is a talented and correct Morgan stallion unshown due to an early injury. His multi-titled sire needs no introduction, and his dam was the celebrated UVM Christine, the 1998 World Champion Senior Mare, Grand National Champion 4YO Mare, Reserve World Champion Mare, and the 1999 NEMHS Ladies English Pleasure Champion.
Summitry is a full brother of the multi-titled in-hand, park, and pleasure champion gelding, HVK Lord of the Bluegrass. Although Summitry has been infrequently bred, his show offspring include UVM Odyssey GCH; Stilwell Spy, World Champion Morgan Dressage Horse; Stilwell Kingsley V, winning Eventing, Jumping and Dressage Horse; and Vandal, In-hand Gelding and Maiden Western Pleasure Winner at MMHBF. Janet and Chris Morris established a quality Summitry frozen semen bank for their personal and commercial uses before transferring Summitry’s ownership to Creekside Morgans.
Summitry’s foals inherit his beauty, loving temperament, will to win, and correctness. Summitry is a fine cross for mares from a variety of families, including but not limited to Masterpiece and Wham Bam, since Summitry’s inbreeding coefficient is 6.299 and he carries no inbreeding within four generations.
