Eligibility:

• Open to ALL 2026 Morgan foals sired by the stallions sold in the MMHBF 2025 Stallion Service Auction.
• Any 2026 foal resulting from a “Name Your Mare” lot purchased the day of the 2025 MMHBF Stallion Service Auction. The mare and the stallion to which it was bred must be declared by December 1, 2025.
• Any 2026 foal identified as being the result of a breeding purchased in the 2024 Stallion Service Auction where a mare was declared, but the breeding was unsuccessful. A new mare declaration form with updated 2025 breeding information must be re-submitted by December 1, 2025.

Entry Fee: $175 per foal by August 25, 2026. After August 25, the class entry fee will be $250 per foal. If the foal was not entered in the show by August 25, 2026, $35 per horse post entry fee will also apply. All entries must be completed by NOON, Friday, September 11, 2026, at which time entries close.

Information Forms: At show check-in, be prepared to complete a form requesting the foal’s date of birth, the name and registration numbers of its sire and dam, and also the foal’s registration number (if registered). For your convenience, the foal information form may be downloaded (see “Weanling Form” above). Foal owners must also complete and sign IRS Form W-9 requesting the OWNER’S Social Security number.

General Information & Class Procedures:

• The order of entry for sweepstakes classes will be posted at the Show Office during the Friday afternoon session. The order will be randomly generated with the specification that, for handlers with multiple entries, there is to be at least two horses between his or her entries. No requests for changes will be honored.
• The sweepstakes class will begin with each entry in the order posted making an individual appearance of a maximum of two minutes before the judge, then leaving the ring. After the last horse has left the ring, the top 12 entries will be announced, and then a 10-minute break will follow.
• After the break, the previously announced top entries will re-enter the ring and line up on the rail, and the judge will complete the class.

DNA Test: Immediately after the class and in the presence of an MMHBF representative, a DNA hair sample will be taken from each of the Top Three foals and also two other random entries, these samples to be submitted to AMHA for DNA verification. MMHBF will provide blank DNA test kits for the sampling and will send the samples to the testing laboratory within 72 hours of the end of the show. No DNA testing fees will be charged to exhibitors.

Class Awards: Champion to receive trophy, Freedman show halter and lead, ribbon and $6,250. Reserve Champion – Freedman show halter, ribbon and $4,250. Balance of Top Ten to receive ribbons and cash prizes: 3rd – $3,375, 4th – $2,750, 5th – $2,125, 6th – $1,750, 7th – $1,500, 8th – $1,250, 9th – $1,000, 10th – $750, 11th – ribbon, 12th – ribbon. SSA donor of champion’s sire to receive $1,000. Bonus Prize Money: $25,000 Bonus Prize Money is to be divided equally among all Bonus-eligible foals (see below) that place in the Top Ten of the Weanling Spectacular.

Bonus Prize Eligibility: Foals identified as being the result of a breeding purchased the day of the Gala in the 2025 Stallion Service Auction (or a declared carry-over re-breeding from a 2024 Auction purchase) are eligible for the 2026 Bonus Prize money. In addition, each stallion owner whose donated stallion service was purchased the day of the Gala in the 2025 Stallion Service Auction was given the opportunity to identify one of the purchased stallion’s foals to be eligible for the 2026 Bonus Prize Money. IN ALL CASES, THE BIOLOGICAL DAM OF THE FOAL FROM THE PURCHASED OR DONATED STALLION SERVICE MUST HAVE BEEN DECLARED BY DECEMBER 1, 2025 or by December 31, 2025 with the payment of a $100 late penalty.

Payment of Prizes: Prize checks will be mailed once DNA tests have been confirmed. Each prize check will be made payable to the foal owner of record and will be void 60 days after the date of issue.
